Bankia Bank (now Santander Consumer Bank) is an Internet based niche bank in Norway offering fee-free Visa credit cards independent of the customers’ other bank account. Bankia also offers no-fee saving accounts with high interest rates. Bankia utilize new web-based and call centre technology to serve its customer base without any physical branch location. The company is based in Oslo and as since 2005 been part of Banco Santander.
